Deter Theft
Public View is a highly effective theft deterrent
as well a way to create public awareness that a video surveillance system is in
place. A well-designed public view system can actually prevent theft where a
standard video system is more of an "after-the-fact" system. In many cases this
simple reminder is enough to deter a shoplifter without the need for store
security personnel involvement.
The 540 TVL camera module also features an OSD (On
Screen Display) which consists of several main settings as well as a few unique
features such as the ability to set privacy zones, white balance, brightness,
mirror image, sharpness control, and camera ID. One can easily access these
functions from the control board located on the inside of the Public View's
camera door.
