The VID-04/08  (Full D1 / 4CIF - 720 x 480) compression cards are a professional digital security product, adapted to the most advanced H.264 AVC video compression algorithm and Ogg Vorbis audio compression technology. Ogg Vorbis audio compression technology makes the sound quality smoother, crisper and synchronized. The Newly designed PCB of the card is compact. An SDK interface is available in Windows and Linux making development faster and easier.

The VID-04/08 card uses a fully optimized algorithm based on DSP technology. This allows to display all channels of video and audio in real-time simultaneously. Video images are directly transmitted from the card to the display frame buffer while the compression stream data is directly sent to the host's memory. The whole transmission process requires no intervention of the host computer's processor, greatly saving valuable resources. One computer can support up to 64 channels of audio and video inputs. The parameters of each channel can be set independently and will not affect each other. Additionally, the card provides a characteristic profile in order to simplify development and testing procedures. Therefore, meeting different application demands widens the market for the product. Incorporated with Aventura's DEC-02 decoder card allows outputs to active video to analogue monitors, creating a virtual matrix solution.

The VID-04/08 compression cards support Windows NT/2000/XP and Linux operating systems. Aventura provides: a demonstration application with its source code, board SDK software, player SDK, network SDK and media Player plug-in.

Cards are stackable to obtain 64 channels maximum all in real-time audio and video.
